How do people learn/know how to do ridiculous things like the Wiimote as a mouse?

Well, ill tell you what helps to not have in order to make these cool hacks; a girlfriend.

Maybe a girlfriend I could put into hibernate or sleep mode if she started annoying me :)

I don't know... I have a g/f and I managed to get Xserver to function on a the freeBSD live cd known as "FreeSBIE 2.01." But not while she was here, of course. That doesn't really count as a "cool" hack but I think it is cool.

If I had a Wii I would want to use the controller as a mouse because that might be fun and even useful perhaps. I could just point wherever I need to click (theoretically).

Yeah I know. But I found WMD to be *just* what I needed and I found that almost no one even uses it, let alone still actively developing. I found no docs whatsoever and I would *really really* like to use this for my theses :(

Seriously, I still had lots of time to do cool stuff until I became a dad.

I think the last thing I modded was a couple of FM transmitters: one to power off my USB port, and one to power off the cigarette lighter in my truck.

My wife hates it: anytime I get a new toy, I want to take it apart and make it better :)
