Security distribution based on Ubuntu? :D

PROTECH IS OUT!

The beta version was released today and it's sweet! Honestly, I've tried more than 100 distros, and this one just feels right.

You can see some screenshots of it here techm4sters.org/about (http://techm4sters.org/about.html) and you can download it from the Downloads section. You won't regreat!

It features a highly costumized fluxbox; safe-browsing; ntfs-writing support, amongst many other great features. It is based on Ubuntu-Feisty but it has only a couple of minor bugs.
The final release is supposed to come out in the mids of April when Feisty ready.

No, not Nubuntu... This actually works and has support. I couldn't install nubuntu and their forum is not online anymore.

Check out Protech, it's way beyond...

Just found out that work has been canceled for the day "Woo Hoo" (north east ohio), and what better time to try out a new distro :)! This is my anniversary month for Ubuntu (1yr) and I am truly enjoying every minute of my linux experience. I am currently downloading protech, thanks telmo for the heads up.

Yes and lots of it :). I spent most of my morning shoveling my driveway just to get my car out. So the day off was a blessing, because my back is aching :). As for Protech...the installer crashed on me. Looks & runs smooth live, wish I could install it.

There seems to be a problem with the installer, but it's easy to deal with.
There are many alternatives for your specific problem. Just ask for help and you'll get our full attention ;)

It just crashed but someone should fix the installer.

Ok telmo, I've tried it and it's very good.
I really don't like the vista-ish window's decorations, but I've installed it and will give a chance to fluxbox and Protech ;)

soham, yes the installer still has a few bugs in it, but i think you can find a solution to that HERE (http://techm4sters.org/forum/index.php?topic=12.msg25#msg25)

Hey stemp, i'm glad you like it! ;) You can always install some other nice themes.
