Well I was looking at the screen shots of Fedora Desktop 7 Test 1 (http://shots.linuxquestions.org/?linux_distribution_sm=Fedora%20Desktop%207%20Test %201) and noticed that they are finally getting away from the old Red Hat 9 Blue Curve icons and replacing it with a new better looking Echo icon set (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/EchoDevelopment). And I was wondering what you guys thought of this, I think it looks great, it's not done yet but once it is done it seem have a look of what Microsoft has done with Vista except it's not glossy.

This definitely a step in the right direction as the old Blue Curve was getting a bit out dated.

I really like these icons. They have that three dimensional feel that I always thought was lacking in the icon sets I've looked for Linux. When this is done, I might try to use them as my default icons in Ubuntu.

The new icon set is nice, especially the 3D feel. I just don't know about the 'softness' of the icons. They seem so fragile :D
