i have a strange situation i am looking for assistance with..did check out micorsoft knowledge base with no luck. i have a user with a win 2k operating system who is unable to use network shared printers if they are on nt4.0 or win2000 adv srv.. receives an error message access denied. however this user can share files on nt or win 2000 resources.. and if i add the same printer to a linux based system the user does not have any problems.any help would be greatly appreciated .

I am a little unclear. Is the printer on linux and a win2k user is trying to connect?

I've moved this to the Windows forum. Hopefully you can get some good help here.

The only advice I can come up w/ is to make sure all of the permissions are correct. Win2k is really finicky when it comes to a user not having permission to connect to a network device. Is the printer attached to another client or an independent print server?
