IYO, what magazine subcription should i get?

i really like Linux Format, but there might be a good one that i haven't gotten a chance to sample at borders

any really good ones out there?

i'm looking for semi-technical, but with reviews & stuff...

I used to subscribe to a number of Linux magazines, including Linux Format, but found that most of the copy was 2-3 months out of date by the time it landed on my door mat. I no longer subscribe to any printed publications, prefering to use the internet for my feed. :-)

I don't bother with Linux mags. Too many adverts, not enough content. They're not worth the money.

Linux Journal is decent, it's not all technical, there's a good mix. Yes, lots of adverts; that's hard to avoid, all for-profit mags have them. For the purely technical, System Admin Magazine is good, and so is Dr. Dobbs. The ones that don't try to straddle the fence between the technical and the "light" I find are better.

I subscribe to lwn.net, it's the only one I bother with, and it's cheap

I like the new tuxmagazine. It's for new linux users, but its cute and free.
