How to install enemy territory patches

I've read read the how to install enemy territory, but most of the servers i try to join want me to install the enemy territory 2.60b patch. Well how to install it?

Download the archive and untar the files for linux in your enemy territoy install directory it will replace 3 files if i remember well.

I installed the 2.60b but I get kicked because error 20004

many people have this problem and some people found the solution but did not worked for me

I used this guide to install ET and the 2.6B patch and it works perfect for me.
