From what I have read on other posts Metisse and Beryl can't be combined because they are two different desktop environments. So for the ultimate eye candy effect I thought I would try combining them via Qemu. I almost did it with the Mandriva Metisse 2007 live cd. It was on my laptop which doesn't have much memory. I gave only 128mb to Qemu and was able to boot Mandriva, but for some reason it wanted a username and password which I don't think it did on the live cd. Anyway, I know its pointless and impractical but I thought it would make a nice screen shot or video to have Metisse windows mixed with Beryl. I just ordered 2gb of ram for my gaming machine. I'm gonna give it another try on that and see what I come up with. Has anyone else tried creating such a Frankenstein?

:-k Actually it might not be too far-fetched if Metisse styles could be applied to something like the Gimp that can have a number of separate windows.

I've got it loaded in qemu, but I don't know the username and password. I tried guest and root but neither work. As a livecd it doesn't ask for such things. Weird
