In school we had to write an essay on anything we want to teach people to do. The first thing that came into my mind was to have a topic on how to switch from Winows to Ubuntu.
I need 3 sources to base my writing on.
Can you give me sources on making the switch?

Oh my, sources on making the switch? There are a number of articles around related to switching, but I honestly don't read that many telling you how to switch.. I suppose the best place to look would be http://www.ehow.com haha.

Here's just 1 suggestioon:-
The Official Ubuntu Book by Benjamin Mako Hill et al. Published by Prentice Hall ISBN 0-13-243594-2
Perhaps you can get a copy via your local library, otherwise Amazon have it. It covers initial installation and desktop use of Ubuntu and Kubuntu, plus some historic background.
I like the idea of your essay, good thinking.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, the Official Ubuntu Book is very rare in my country. :( Even the biggest book store doesn't have it.
Maybe, I'll settle with online guides since I have never "amazoned" before.
I'll still try to look for the book but I think I have to settle with what's available online because I have to submit this paper by next week. ;)

Another excellent book is Ubuntu Hacks by Jonathan Oxer, Kyle Rankin and Bill Chhildress (US $29.99). If you have a Barnes & Nobles close by you can look this over. There is a good chance your library may not have it but see if they can get it for you. Excellent source on getting up to speed with Ubuntu Linux. And in configuring and bringing crucial files from WIN to Ubuntu.

You may consider looking in Diigo (social annotation site) I'm sure someone there has found some info you would need to complete this paper.
