I'm still amazed at how good the Linux platform is for emulating old game consoles. There's no way I could run this much in Windows! The DOS emulator you see is DOSBox. Since Wine fails miserably at the DOS environment, I've been testing a lot of games under DOSBox, and here is the list so far:
Works great:
- Castle Wolfenstein 3D
- Commander Keen
- Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure
- Halloween Harry
- King's Quest 1 - 5 (including the VGA remakes)
- Space Quest 1 - 5 (including the VGA remakes)
- Shannara
Works okay (slow response or sound problems):
- Duke Nukem 3D
- Lemmings 3D
- Shadow Warrior (DN3D Clone)
