I've been playing with Git (cogito) recently, and I'm very impressed with the sheer speed of this tool. Most actions relating to backports are done virtually instantly, compared to svn taking 10-20 seconds.

I've made a backport available, from breezy.

BTW, does anyone know how this gets hosted over the internet? From the looks of the official tree, it has something to do with rsync, but cogito really doesn't have an 'upload' command, just a local commit command. If anyone knows how cogito works, please do let me know!
