I'm trying to follow this websites (http://www.nothickmanuals.info/doku.php/minivmac) instructions to install Mac OS 7 on my 2GB flash drive. I'm doing this on my iMac, not Linux.

I followed all the instructions but when I got to the part that tells you to drag the "Install 1.image" file onto the Mini vMac icon Mini vMac starts up and says:
Unable to locate ROM image. I can not find the ROM image file "vMac ROM".

This is everything I have inside my "Mac-on-Stick" file:

I assume vmac.rom.sea.hqx is the ROM file ? Created or downloaded ?

Maybe the emultor does not like that name format. What happens if you rename it to 'vMac ROM' ?

Never done this though so I might be wrong.

Edit: If you are using a Intel Mac now then maybe try the PC version of the ROM.

Tried renaming the Mac version of the Rom and downloading the PC (Windows) version of the Rom. I got:
ROM checksum failed. The ROM image file "vMac.ROM" may be corrupted.

moving to Mac OS forum
This forum says it's for discussing Mac OSX (Unix based), not Mac Classic (non Unix based). Plus by moving it here someone who might know what their doing and try to help me will never see it because nobody goes on these forums.

Yes, but many OS X users have used OS 9. Some of them may still have it.
