If you were to take out how many people ask a question that could be answered by reading a manual then we'd only be at a few thousand. :) Though, I don't blame people, sometimes I'd rather ask someone than search through documentation.

I agree... although alot of the questions could be answered by a simple search, many people switching to Linux can feel overwhelmed and it helps to have some feedback from real people, letting them know what their options are.
