The F-spot package currently in Dapper Drake (0.1.11-1ubuntu1) still suffers from Bug #37972 i.e. it doesn't display images in portrait format if they were imported using Gthumb.
The package version in Edgy claims to have fixed this, it would be good if either an update for Dapper or a backport from edgy were made available.
