Is there a chance to update to totem 2.16.4 since that fixes the annoying issue with the sidebar not being remembered.
First I tried a current feisty deb (2.17.5), and started upgrading some of the packages to deal with the requested dependencies, but that sent me straight into the dependency hell. Luckily I was able able to downgrade all packages again after that :(
Then I found the sourcecode for 2.16.4 on the totem homepage. I installed the build-essentials, unpacked the archive, "./configure"ed, but "make" didn't work ("no target").
Unfortunately, I didn't find any easy instructions to get the compile job done. Neither on the homepage nor within the source code bundle.
Any ideas, how I would be able to update to that minor version number in an easy way?
It's funny that seemingly easy things can be so difficult. Mostly I have more luck with getting windows alternatives working perfectly with wine though. Funny? Rather strange.
