info on webcam drivers?

I just noticed that Automatix has added some webcam drivers to its list of installable things:


spca5xx webcam drivers
Installs drivers for USB webcams with chipsets including Sunplus, Z-star/Vimicro, Sonix, Etoms, Conexant, Zoran, IcMedia/TransVision, Pixart


So are all these models fully supported? Do they work completely? Are there any other drivers for webcams?

It's my experience that they may be supported, but not with full features or without anomalous behaviors.
