Hey everyone I just bought my first Mac to day I got an iMac 17in widescreen 2ghz with 1gb of ram and i'm really really loving this first hour with it ^_^

anyways I have a bunch of anime on my laptop that I want to get off. So I was wondering if there was a way to move them over, I would prefer a gui but I would be fine with the CLI also...also if the program could be OSS that would be even better.

TIA

I use Fugu for sftp/scp transfers from my ubuntu boxes to my ibook with OSX. You of course need a SSH server on the linux end (and you can also enable the OSX ssh server and transfer the other way around if you're sitting at your ubuntu box)...

Hmm, my osx is in swedish, but if you go to system preferences you should see something like "File sharing". Under the services tab (?) you should be able to find remote access or remote login or something like that...
