Hi there :KS
I was just thinking it would be awsome if there were to be a scripts directory in ubuntu forums so that users could share and collaborate on thing having to do whith the shell and shell scripts. There are other web sites that people can go to get scripts but because since ubuntu has such a large communty it would make finding shell scripts accessable and convenient to those browsing the forums. Another great benefit I see in having a scripts directory is that if somebody has some code they would like some help on; that indivdual would be able to find answers to their questions. An even greater aspect would be if the user would need a specific task done and possessed the knowledge to do so someone else on ubuntu forums would be able to write a script for them. I see this as a great opportunity for linux users to collaborate and flex there knowledge of the linux operating system to better the linux users of tomarrow.

I've moved your thread to a more appropriate subforum.

I apoligize, I did not realize that I could talk about shell scripting in the "programming talk" forum. Now if I need some help with the scripting I will make my posts there.
Sorry for the confusion, I should have done some looking around before I made a recommendation.
All is well.
