Right now, there are really only two hurdles that prevent the inclusion of GTKWifi into the base Ubuntu distro:
- Currently, the "python2.4-gnome2-extras" package, which is required to install GTKWifi, is not a part of the base distro (it's in the "universe" repository, I believe).
- Currently, there is no .deb package for GTKWifi
I'm not too familiar with .deb packaging, or how to submit software for inclusion into Ubuntu. If someone could give me the details of what I need to do, it would be great.
Thanks,
Brian Cairns
