Guys, just as a one time thing . . . can you change my user name? I'm starting us a blog and a podcast about my experiences with Ubuntu, and I'd like to keep some continuity between them an dthe forums . . . I know this is an annoying request, but if you guys could help me out, I'd really appreciate it . . .
My Name is: saalota
I'd like to change it to: Ubuntu Joe
That would really rock if you could do it!!
Cheers!

Yes, the admins can do it and they have done it before. Maybe PM one of them or be a little patient and I'm sure they will help you out.

no you really cant...Yes they can :)
The Admins can! Can't they?Just be patient and wait to see if one turns up.
There is no guarantee that they'll do it though... these things can easily play havoc with the database.

We don't generally do this. From the Forum FAQ (http://ubuntuforums.org/announcement.php?f=48).
Can I change my username?
No. Usernames can not be changed at all - dashes can not be added, lowercase cannot be made uppercase, etc. However, you may choose to create a new account.
Note: If you do make a new account, you will have to transfer all information yourself, as we cannot do this for you. Also, we cannot transfer your statistics (beans, account age and the like) to the new account. In a couple of exceptional cases I have been known to do this, but only with a really good reason. For a while we were deluged with requests and it was too taxing. PM me and we can discuss it.
