First of all, please don't use huge fonts.. it makes it look like you're shouting and that isn't necessary.

Secondly, the way you worded your question makes it sound like you want to do something that you shouldn't be doing.. so you may not get much help.

Can you re-word your question with some more information? Why do you feel you need a password cracker?

I know this is old and I'll probably make someone mad but why do you care why the OP wants a pdf password cracker? Those kind of responses are so freakin annoying! This kind of arrogant response from some people almost made me give up on even coming to the forum when I first started. Not a good way to promote Ubuntu. Didn't your mothers tell you, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all? I'm really bored right now or I wouldn't be responding to this. This whole post should be removed since it doesn't offer any help to anyone looking for a password cracker.

BTW if using software made for windows, try installing in Wine or use a virtual machine with windows and a shared folder with ubuntu.

Or use one of the password cracking apps found in the repos like pdfcrack.

if you are cracking windows apps passwords there are many ways to do this, as windows are already cracked so they are easily broken.

google for backtrack and carver they are police forensic tools used to recover evidence on computers.

two others are foremost and scalpel.

some are opensource some are not, can't remember which.
