there are several game developers that make Linux Clients of their games and a few Publishers as well that make our dreams come true.

Post here ANY game developers and Publishers so we can know what to expect from them in the future.

www.idsoftware.com - our dearest developers, almost every game they make has a native Linux client.
www.bioware.com - the makers of the first NWN games.
www.runningwithscissors.com - All of their funny killer games have a native Linux client (it's actually 2 games so far ;)). and soon there be a movie based on their games !
www.savage2.s2games.com - the savage games makers, they released the first savage for free !
www.epicgames.com - the makers of the Unreal engines and games !
www.introversion.co.uk - the British developers of Uplink and Dawina

that's what I can think of, but I'm sure there are MUCH more. (I'm NOT talking about Linux games online stores like www.linuxgamepublishing.com and www.tuxgames.com ).

The UK developer Introversion made both Uplink and Dawina for Linux. There new game Defcon while currently only available on wondows will soon be playable on Linux. All three games are great and well worth a look

Doesn't Unreal sometimes have their games working on linux? I mean, I only know about UT2K4.

By the way, you must realize that not always is it the actual company that ports the game but rather they hire some other people, such as Ryan Gordon (http://icculus.org/~icculus/) to port the engine/game, there was also loki but I don't really know much about them, to me they are also important, but yeah the company is also important for having 'approved' that in the first place :)

They're a great company, they make interesting games and they make them Linux compatible. Except DEFCON, but I think that is because it has only been released on Steam.

I wonder if Valve will ever create a Linux version of Steam to play the Linux versions of Uplink, Darwina and DEFCON. They could add a Wine plug-in to try to run the rest.

Here's hoping they'll do the same for UT2007, I'm pretty sure they're going to release a Linux installer but not sure if it will be available on launch.

A Linux installation script was included with UT 2004 right on the DVD/first CD.

All you had to do was make the script executable and then it couldn't be easier. It even puts a Tux in the splash screen where there isn't one in Windows.
