Please help.Battle for Wesnoth not connecting to official server.

Hello

I'm trying to get my Battle for Wesnoth to join the official server so I can play on the internet.

I have installed the wesnoth-server package in Synaptic.

But whenever I try to get my Wesnoth to join the official server,it says:The server requires version '1.1.12*' while you are using version '1.1.8'.

Why is this happening?Is it because the official server does not support version 1.1.8 yet?

Please tell me how to join the official server.

I will be highly obliged for your help.

Well....looking at what the error is saying, to be able to connect to the server you need version 1.1.12. But the version thats available through synaptic is 1.1.8. So therefore you can't play multiplayer unless you update it somehow....or go to the Battle for Wesnoth site and download 1.2.1 (the latest stable version).
