Anyway, here's the deal.
Ubunter Center works like a champ for me. I've had it installed for a few months and I don't have any issues with it. (Except one.)

I've always had this issue but never took the time to try to figure it out...

Well, when I try to create a catalog I get this error...

tarting New Song Search on [Hope] catalog

Error: Unable to open /media/sda4/Media
Starting Album Art Search. . .
album's with art. . .

Catalog Update Finished... Total Time [00:00] Total Songs [0] Songs Per Seconds [N/A]

This ONLY happens when I try to use my NTFS formated drive (for Windows XP and Vista, that's where I keep my music collection)

The root drive works fine.

I don't know what's wrong but I have a guess.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that my NTFS is read only? (Never got the read/write to work for me. :( )

Hey, looks to me like the web user (usually www) doesn't have read rights to /media/sda4/Media, I could be wrong. Try changing the read permissions, if that doesn't work I'd recommend asking http://ampache.org or #ampache on irc.freenode.net for irc, as this is an issue with Ampache.
