if i add ports in firestarter, does firestarter apply them directly to the iptables? or ipchains...

do they really open and should i see them when i do a nmap localhost?

My current issue is, i run vmware (in bridged networking mode) with a windows XP session to connect @ work with checkpoint secure remote VPN1

i enabled ports and i am still unable to connect.

if i go windows native i can connect which means its not my router.
