ubuntu-base depends on postfix.. want exim.

I am about to set up my email server and I try to install exim, but I find out that ubuntu-base depends on postfix.. and postfix conflicts with exim... how can I get around this and get exim installed without having to uninstall ubuntu-base?

You can't.

Ubuntu-base is a virtual package anyway, so it's not like uninstalling it is a big deal. It's meant to be uninstalled.
