upgrading package ncftp to version 3.2.0

is there any chance to have ncftp package upgraded to 3.2.0 ?

atm ncftp version is NcFTP 3.1.9/190 Mar 24 2005, 07:18 PM, which is getting old and lacking the "edit" command:

edit
Downloads into a temporary file for editing on the local host, then uploads the changed file back to the remote host.

this command has proven itself handy when one needs to make a quick change in a file and is included in ncftp next version: 3.2.0, 2006-08-05

feisty has ncftp 3.2.0. For what Ubuntu distribution would you like to get the pacakge?

I'm using edgy eft atm, but I was thinking about LTS ubuntu dapper.

I guess both dapper and edgy would be nice.
