Not sure how suitable this is, but there's a bunch of unhappy people from this Hoary bug that's been reportedly fixed in Breezy. See bitching (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=27087) and partial workaround (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=21508) for story.
