Hi,

I'm trying to run cs 1.6 under linux. I installed wine, installed the tahoma font and installed the game itself. When I browse to the directory where cs 1.6 is installed and click on hl.exe nothing happens. But when I click on hltv.exe, it does work fine (hltv is some kind of console). What am I doing wrong? I'm using a non-steam version of cs 1.6 which worked fine on windows and I'm running ubuntu 6.10 and wine 0.9.29.

Thanx in advance

the best way of getting anyhting halflife related to work is to install steam through wine and rung steam login and allow it to download the latest/greatest version of which ever halflife based game you want ot play. Its a little time consuming waiting for the down load but so much easier than trying to run it without steam.

Original CS runs exactly the same through wine as it does in windows as it supports openGL.
