First off I want to say I don't know which forum this goes in- "x64" or "Installation".

I am trying to install x64 Ubuntu on my 64 bit machine. I double-click the installation icon, start going through, and it gets stuck on the page where you set the time and pick the time zone. The buttons don't work to go forward, back, or cancel, but the window can be maximized/minimized/etc. I don't know what to do because rebooting and trying again, it does the same thing. :frown:

try using the alternate 64 iso, it's text install but has lot more scope for successful install on problem machines

good luck with your install:biggrin:

Sorry if this sounds like the bleeding obvious, but I've just installed this from the iso image (AMD64 Desktop) that I downloaded today and my mouse has playing up, so I was using the keyboard the whole way. No incidents. I take it you tried using the keyboard as well as the mouse?

Best of luck ;)

I recommend using PS2 mouse and PS2 keyboard when installing any new versions. I had big probs, and was not able to install anything with my usb keyboard and usb mouse connected. Once I completed the installs with the ps2 mouse/keyboard, I shutdown then reconnected my USB peripherals..All was well.
