I have not read anything definitive about installing Feisty amd64 over Edgy !386. However I'm wondering if it can be done successfully?
I have a large primary harddrive where I run Edgy amd64, and then I have a secondary drive that I have Edgy !386 with numerous installed packages (this is my "sandbox" -- test drive). This secondary drive is where I would like to install Feisty amd64 on Edgy so that the settings, data and packages would be preserved as much as possible. I would like to think that this type of installation can (and should) be able to be done -- but I tend to read more bad stories then successful installations. Let me know your experience (pros and cons).
