I have an extremely hard time believing that is done in MSPaint, but if it really was...wow

Question remains: Why?
And don't say: Just because he could ;-).

Why do I have a hard time believing? Because MSPaint has little to no options, and only three or four useful tools (Paint, Pencil, Bucket and Shape). I mean, I could see it being done, but I have a really hard time believing anyone would choose MSPaint over Photoshop/Gimp to do something like this. The only thing I ever used Paint for was screenshots.

That does look impressive, maybe they used http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html (http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html) ? but if they used regular Paint then well done!

I can't believe it neither, that looks so amazing.
But well, I don't know anything about painting, so I can't know if it's credible or not.

If you doubt the credibility, he offered to send various older versions so you can see how he did it.
From the link: "no the deviation that you see right now is the original size, i converted from bmp to jpg if you wish i could send you the steps (older version) i did with it you ll understand how i actually did it"

I didn't think you could make something that nice in Paint. That must have taken a lot of time.

Very very nice. MS Paint doesn't have a smudge though, does it? how did he get the shadows on the water without a smudge?

Yeah, some folks are just that dedicated (and/or good). Here's a couple other pieces done in Paint that I've been impressed by:

Just because a program has limited tools does not make it impossible to make complex works of art in it. Often a restricted medium actually empowers the artist, rather than limiting. I for one can absolutely believe that he did this in MS Paint, having made some pretty cool things in MS Paint myself.

Why so many naysayers? Nobody remembers artwork on 8-bit machines (http://www.rayb.com/c64.htm)?
MS Paint ain't the Gimp, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.
