Yelp help browser slow

When i first tried Ubuntu(Breezy Badger ), I found the help browser awfully slow. I mean the program yelp. Actually thinking again of it, the combination of that, and the fact that i couldnt get stuff to install caused me to not use Ubuntu for quiet a while.(had dual install) Somehow i didnt think of posting here to say it here.
I am talking about the gnome help program yelp. I dont see why the program is so slow.
Hmm, my searches for yelp reach pages that dont work :(.
Just simple html would seem a pretty good solution, using a lightweight browser like dillo. But with a improved gui, that better fits the rest.
clusty.com search says (link not working though also not of wikipedia):
"Yelp. Yelp is the help viewer in Gnome. It's what happens when you hit F1. Together with gnome-doc-utils, Yelp serves as a DocBook viewer, a man page viewer, and an info page viewer."
So its not html i guess, may need copies of stuff if other things still point to the stuff as docbook/man page viewer. Or somehow change it to html in the fly. (dont know if thats quick enough, and not too hard to program.) Maybe yelp itself needs to be improved..
yelp is of the gnome project? Even if it is Ubuntu, it is very relevant to Ubuntu.
Anyone else feel the same way/differenty? Anything done since Breezy?

As Albi said, this really isn't the right part of the forum to ask this question, but I'll contribute anyway.

Yelp is a part of Gnome, and you're right: it is slow. It has never been anything But slow for me. Furthermore, I usually have an easier time finding answers online (using Google) than I do using the help browser. https://help.ubuntu.com/6.10/ubuntu/desktopguide/C/index.html is definitely my favorite resource for Ubuntu beginners, and then Google can be used to sort out the details most of the time. (A lot of the answers Google finds you will actually be in this forum, but it sometimes does a better job searching the forum that the forum's search tools do.)
