If you mean the scrollbars, you need an OSX-like GTK theme, such as this (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=30859).

The two places I usually look for GTK2 themes (these set the "Controls" in your System->Preferences->Themes... Theme Details dialogue) are at GNOME Art and GNOME-Look.
http://art.gnome.org/themes/gtk2/?sort_by=popularity&limit=24&view=list&order=DESC lists their most popular ones, including 3-4 convincing Mac themes...
http://www.gnome-look.org/index.php?xsortmode=down&page=0 lists GNOME-Look's most popular GTK2 themes, many of which are Mac-inspired.

Yeah i already have Tish installed but even on the previews on gnome look it has the grey scroll bars

on the other hand when i use firefox it has nice blue bars with it's nice mac theme - any ideas on how i can get some of the same?:KS

Oh. Well, there ARE themes other than Tish that have pretty blue scroll bars. "Glossy P" at Gnome Art is one I can think of off the top of my head. It's nice.

And if they just aren't WORKING for you, make sure you have the gtk2-engines-pixbuf package installed. A lot of fancy themes need that to make sure they can work.

I get the same thing, I'll stick this in launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+filebug) as a bug.

It seems odd that it works alright for some people but not for others.

Tish pack contains many variations of the theme, some with blue scrollbars and some with grey ones..

Thanks for your recommendation - it's the best OSX-look-alike I've seen. And the best part is it's really fast aswell!

You're welcome!

Yeah, it doesn't have resource-intensive, cheap-looking "brushed-aluminum" windows or stripes going through everything, so it runs smoothER than a lot of the OSX themes.

cheers All,

Tish + Beryl + a couple of sweet modifications got almost the desired effect, but what it lacks in that little bit of eye candy it more than makes up for in function - I hate MAC navigation:p

do you have 'gtk2-engines-pixbuf'-package installed? It's needed for bitmap images in themes to work..
