Ubuntu failed to display thumbs of my weeding

I have a DVD with 250+ photos of my weeding.
Each photo has 6-10 mb in size

I need to choose some among them to make a album (printed)

But nautilus does not render the pictures (thumbs)

gthumb takes years to let me scroll down or up

I m trying to create a index image with gthumb to be able to see all thumbs

Weeding? Do you mean wedding? :D
I think the filesize is your problem, but you can change the thumbnail preferences:
Open Nautilus, go Edit > Preferrences > Preview and change the limit above 5 MB.
