has anyone tried dcconfig for etch? it similiar to automatix but it doesnt d/l and install video drivers.

Last I heard it hadn't been updated in some time. Is there a reason you'd go to Etch if you want something like automatix anyway?

Shameless plug: You can use my program Hakix which, whilst nowhere near as good as Automatix, provides one-click install of nvidia driver, along with other goodies like Beryl/AIGLX and Songbird, Flash 9 etc... for Debian Etch
