Wow! First time to try GTKWifi, and it looks good, well, almost.... When I upgraded to Edgy, I lost my easy wireless connection that I had with Dapper.

The only thing thus far that will get a connection is wlassistant. But I have to run that every time I start up.

It looks like GTKWifi runs great at start up, shows my connection, is using ra0 just like I want, but it doesn't show any networks available (namely, mine) and I don't know how to change that or edit it, much less how to get it to pick one.

Can anyone advise me on how to get this running? It may be the answer to the Edgy wireless conundrum.

Would installing 1.09 take care of this? Advise on upgrading? If I could just find the networks....

I have GTKWiFi 1.10 and have been pretty happy... no problems so far.

Hi, I have the same problem.

I was using network manager, but it either breaks Beryl or takes up to three minutes to load (the splash screen also lingers, strangely). So I decided to try this program instead.

It's weird because on the panel it states how many networks are available (14 in my case, I live in a crowded area), but the widow appears completely blank. I uninstalled network manager and rebooted, but no change.

So, is there anything that can be done?

How do you update to 1.10?

EDIT: OK, found it at Sourceforge, and it works fine.

Wouldn't it be a good Idea to unsticky the thread showing 1.06 and have one with a link to 1.10?

I have this same problem with 1.10, where the window is completely blank. No networks are showing.

I'm using Edgy.
