Ubuntu - "Keyboard could not be grabbed malicious client maybe listening"

Hi Guys,

We have got ubuntu currently installed as a server and being used as a proxy.

We have two instances of the following:

We come in in the morning and a message appears:

"Keyboard could not be grabbed - malicious client maybe listening"

We Cannot use the keyboard and need to reboot to get system back.

Any reasons why this maybe happening?

Is any window/prompt awaiting a password input? The keyboard maybe being prohibited from outside capturing (i.e. grabbing) whilst awaiting the password, hence whatever it is that's trying to grab the keyboard is failing.

I to have had this message with the no response from the keyboard and reboot being the only solution. Once it has happened when I have first booted in and every time it has happened I have only had a few Firefox and Nautilus windows open.

Any ideas anyone?
