First i'm not 100% sure this is the right place to ask cause its not just converting. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

The website is http://www.phrozensmoke.com/projects/pyvoicechat/index.php
as far as i know is the only Yahoo IM client to support Voice and Video.

unfortunatly i haven't been able to find a deb for it at all. And have read a couple of threads here that using alien to convert the RPM doesn't work well.

I second that request. Alien works with the rpm file from the website, but it doesn't seem to work for voice support. BTW if you use alien, you will also need to apt-get install lidltdl3 and libgtkhtml2-0 to get the client to work, and turn off animated smileys to keep it from crashing!

That is a very good Yahoo client. However, a lot of the features don't transfer well when using alien. I am hoping that somebody could get Gyach Enhanced fully operational in Ubuntu

I agree! I would like to either have Gyach fully working in Ubuntu or to seek Kopete add support for audibles and IMvironments on the Yahoo! network.

sadly gyach enhanced, never lived on,
however its fork is alive and kicking
instead of porting the old one, why not properly build
http://gyachi.sourceforge.net
most of the obvious bugs in gyach-enhanced are already fixed in gyache-improved.

current ubuntu thread for gyache-improved is Here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=190900)
