Counter Strike sound and other problems

ok well i have ubuntu and i have point2play installed, i used that to install steam...i can join the server but i have no sound even when i am at the menu in couter strike...also after i join the server when i pick a team counter strike freezes on me...doesn anyone know how to fix this problem...or even why it may be happening...i have a wireless card but it works fine for gaim and firefox...

ok well i was playing and everything and cs works...no sound though...and well the resolution is a bit messed up but its fine...i should be able to get everything fixed...

well i talked to a friend of mine and he said that because i have on board sound that it doesn't support full duplex and that i need to buy a sound card...i will do this because he showed me which one to buy
