Note: We have had a lot of people asking about why we ask for your phone number on the petition. We figure we ought to tell you why. We ask for your real name and phone number so that Blizzard reps can call you up and verify the signatures are real.
Hum... :roll:

There. Signed the Petition.
I already have the windows version, but if they would make it work on linux I'd definately be happy. I'm trying to move to Linux but the fact that Cedega is not free (and crappy and hard to get working, from what I've seen at friends) and only a few games work on linux without help from other apps, makes it hard for me to get rid of windows :)
So I do hope they don't just publish a guide saying " here's how to run it with cedega " and I do hope they would make it possible for people that already have the game (collectors edition in fact) to upgrade to the linux version freely :-) (maybe just release a linux installer or something)

Howto run Warcraft 3 with Cedega
-> http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=5
Its even easier then that nowadays and performance is excellent considering its not native. (it runs almost as well as on windows.) That site shows u how to set up the free Cedega (CVS version) which is just as good as the commercial one i find. At least for WC3 theres no difference.
For all your Gaming on Linux needs including Howto run a lot of games Linux-Gamers.net (http://www.linux-gamers.net) can't be beaten.

And I'm not a native english speaker. Furthermore the call to Middle East would cost them much. ;-)

i signed it last week... but cedega does it well enough. i think if blizz knew there was a demand they would do it. since every game they have made in the past 10 years has been hybrid (win/mac).

I am using Point2Play/cedega right now. It was a breeze to install. But I would run it natively when blizzard gives us the chance.

Sorry, I can't sign this if it asks for a phone number. I don't want to be giving out my phone number, even though I think this is a great and just cause.
Maybe if I can get a cell phone.

Although this may or may not change Blizzard's stance on it, can't say we didn't try.

On the same note. For most people playing WoW, Ventrilo is a must have. Please sign this petition too, so we can see Ventrilo with a native Linux client.
