I want to change the icon for the mark all upgrades button because it doesn' t fit at all with the theme. I found a better icon but don' t know where to place it so it is used instead of the default icon.

I did it...by doing what this site suggests:
http://www.taimila.com/orange-look.php

it is a full theme (icons, gtk, wallpaper, icons)

just scroll the page linked and you will find the answer

After trying some that was the solution I had found to (ie copying to my icon to /usr/share/synaptic/glade/ ) I just wish there where a way to make it included in the theme.

Thank you for the site though because I found some other very nice things there I had been looking for for some time :KS (and Ubuntu really should make this guy's mark all upgrades icon their default icon...)

I tried what Lauri Taumila suggested - copying his replacement icon into /usr/share/synaptic/glade/

But it didn't work - not in Feisty in any case. There wasn't a mark all upgrades icon in that folder to begin with. I searched or all instances of the icon and replaced two others but I'm still seeing the old ugly icon.

Any ideas?
