I can't figure out for the life of me, how to run the Sims.
The disc only has the setup tool, and not the actual .exe
Where can I find the programs installed under WINE?

AFAIK the sims won't run under wine... http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iVersionId=1015
If you do magically get it working then please tell people how!

The default location for .wine is within your home folder.

It isn't there. Or, isn't shown there when I open the folder.

Okay, fine.
My question still remains.
I cannot see this .wine folder, what's the issue?

If in nautilus, type ctrl-H to show hidden files/folders.
If in the terminal, type ls -a to show hiddens, or even ls .*, or ls .wine, or just go directly there by cd .wine
I'm not certain if the problem is that you can't see it or it isn't there.
