Just hopped on my comp & I can't reach Google. Anybody else have this problem?
BTW does anyone know offhand Google's IP? I want to see if it's a dns problem.

216.239.57.99

It responds to ping.

Google Norge seems fine: www.google.no

Can't reach it from my end. Gmail's the same. Could be my ISP's servers.

Try to ping it with the above IP and let it zone for 5 seconds, then try again :)

I can reach it through the IP address, so it's a dns thing (crappy ISP). Guess I have to wait to check my mail. Unless someone knows the IP for pop.gmail.com.

Thanks guys/gals.

Not for me. Google.com is, but Gmail.com isn't.

Whew... finally :)

Google, and a lot of other big sites (ex. microsoft.com) are beeing (DNS)hacked as we speak, so they are a little bit unstable.

You can read more about it here: http://www.gigaom.com/2005/05/07/google-hacked/ :)

I wouldn't say that the article is 100% fact, but no site on the net is safe. I just forwarded the news to a few guys that I do software development with, and they replied with "If google replies to a quick hack, then what else is this nonsense going to bring to the rest of the coders of these engines?
