FAQ: Recommendations for FTP program?

Can anyone recommend a compatible package for FTP program similar in function to WSFTP or a good GUI FTP program package?

I've always liked gftp but unless I'm mistaken, I cannot find it in apt-get.

gftp is good but what about security mechanism? I could be wrong but a friend of mine uses ssl keys with his ftp server and though gftp allow me to connect I cant browse his files.

gftp is secured too.. u can configure it to use ssh2..

He is not using ssh though, He is using ssl ftp connection.
