Hey guys, I seem to be in a bit of a pickle.
I have an ibook g3 that I've been using with xubuntu on it. Runs great, alot faster then with panther, however I have found that its also giving me alot of problems, such as lack of stable flash, no wpa, and an extremely deteriorated wifi signal.
On the most part, xubuntu has been my answer for making the laptop effecient, but the hold backs are a bit of a burden, and henceforth I've decided to return to panther for the time being.
Anyways, here is my problem. I heard that mac iso's are a differant format then the 9660 standard. I have a panther iso on my ubuntu computer, and it is giving me an error that it is not in ISO 9660 format. My presumption is that this format is intended to be written FROM a mac computer, however not only does my mac lack a cd burner, it also lacks a mac os to burn from.
I tried to send to disc, and x-roast, but Im not quite sure were I begin. Is there a way to burn via ubuntu?
Any help on this would be fantastic,
Thanks,
Kevin
**edit** if this is in the wrong section, I'm very sorry, and ask if a mod can move it somewhere more appropriate
