I think all programs should adopt firefox's middle click type scrolling. I always find myself trying to middle click on xchat or gaim to scroll through a bunch of stuff.

It's definitely useful to have, but I've never done that! The only time I can remember using it was when I broke both arms 2 months ago. Scrolling any other way hurt like hell.

I just tried to play around with middle button and I got nothing.

@ezphilosophy: Its the option for auto scrolling I think under the firefox preferences.
