What about a new term 'to linux [pp linuxed]'?

1) To express an effort to fix a problem that is nasty, unstable, clouded by uncertain factors (e.g. binary configuration files and the like) into a stable and lasting solution

2) figuatively: to fix a nasty problem.

more suggestions:
your GNU-appeal: appearance of honesty, strong effort of ethical conduct in worldly life

"ubuntu it!" Give up the bad habit and use it do something for the good of humanity!

curious to hear your feedback...:)

That's kinda old. Me and my friends have been using the term "linuxed" to describe a computer that has Linux on it. As in "I Linuxed my laptop today, it was pretty sweet".

It doesn't even make any sense. I, for one, won't be using it.

Sorry, man. It doesn't sound so good. I don't think people will use it.

How about just... *nixed? "I nicksed something." Lame idea, of course, but I strive to perfect lameness.
