Is there a programm that will do fuzzy logic simulation/fuzzy system design

more specifically, fuzzy inference systems (FIS) design....

I am looking for alternative to matlab fuzzy toolbox...

Preferably multi-level FIS design (i think fuzzy in matlab doesn't even allow this, and maybe i have to use simulink in matlab to do this...but anyhoo, i rather use a better open source program altogather)

Maybe have a look at the links page here, http://www.mat.upm.es/projects/advocate/en/index.html

http://www.inra.fr/internet/Departements/MIA/M/fispro/indexen.html

I am facing a similar problem in that I would like to use fuzzy set logic without matlab and looking at alternatives.

I considered the link mentioned, but most projects seem old or projects seems dead. Looking for anything more recent or more lively (and Open source of course)

Have you looked at GNU Octave (http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/octave.html)? It is mostly compatible with Matlab.
