Hmm I'm just wondering if Engage is still available..? I tried installing it, but it depended on some libecore1-dbus package which I didn't have. Also, the sound doesn't work for me on Enlightenment (apps have sound, but system sounds missing), and the mixer applet doesn't control my volume. Also, I'm looking for a suitable system tray alternative and still haven't found one, as well as a method to turn on compositing in E17. =\ Someone please help.

I believe that engage was abandoned a year or so ago...

Which trays have you tried? If you list them, then people won't suggest ones that you have already tried. ;)

I'm fairly certain that the E devs poo-pooed the compositing idea, but it seems like I read about a "bling" module somewhere that adds it. Check out the "E17 is coming" mega-threads on the Gentoo forums as they seem to stay fairly up to date on E17 happenings.

The bling module's missing, at least for me. Also I've tried trayer, and stalonetray. Sticking with stalonetray for the moment.
