Hello. I've just installed some games. Frozen Bubble, SuperTux & LBreakout. The games work fine, but I can't get them to display fullscreen. When I try to switch fullscreen they are still at the same size and they get a black border around them that fills the rest of the screen. They don't "stretch" out.

I'm running Kubuntu and I have a NVIDIA GFX card working with OpenGL.
Here is my xorg.conf:

# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man /etc/X11/xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following commands:
#
# cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.custom
# sudo sh -c 'md5sum /etc/X11/xorg.conf >/var/lib/xfree86/xorg.conf.md5sum'
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Looks like you need to install the latest Nividia Linux driver (http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux.html) It sees your card, but can't utilize it.

**EDIT**
hummm, looks like I need to update too :-) I'm running the 7167 driver. 7174 is the current....

Thanks for the reply. I tried to update the NVIDIA drivers with the .run script from the NVIDA site, but I had no luck in getting the drivers to install. I apt-get installed the 2.6.11 kernel image and the 2.6.11 kernel source. (The only non 2.4 source I could find in the respository.) But the NVIDIA drivers still didn't want to install, so if you have a way to do this please share. ;-)

I'm a Gentoo user, so I'm used to doing things more or less manually, but I find it hard to add software/drivers/whatever outside of what packages are provided in the Ubuntu respository, just like in SuSE.

Hello..
I can't play on fullscreen too.. but my problem is diferent. When I turn on fullscreen mod in any game (frozen bubble, quake3, etc.. ) my gnome is restarting.. then I see gdm login panel. I'm using ubuntu 2.6.10-5-k7 kernel and newest fglrx driver. I have LCD and my resolution is 1280x1024.
